FIND YOUR INNER WARRIOR GODDESS BY MARGIE PARGIE
Warrior goddess: a woman who loves to love, herself and others. She is committed to her happiness, and loves to share her gifts with the world. She cultivates fleeting moments of joy, whether alone or with a group of rockstar friends. She uplifts herself and lets her cup overflow and fill others with love. The moment is always now and the only appropriate time to celebrate life. Her imagination is as vast as the ocean and the ground is sprinkled in stardust. The key to her future is enjoying the present moment with curiosity and love. Silence is her tool to finding bliss. Her presence heals the world and opens friends to their limitless potential.
Child’s pose – Take 5-10 breaths to tune into your breath and ground into the earth. Feel your hands growing roots, bring the knees wide and clear your mind. Commit to your practice.
Ego Eradicator – Come to an upright position, legs crossed, heart open and shoulder blades pulled back. Bring your arms up wide into a V, thumbs tucked into the universe and begin the breath of fire. Let your eyes roll up into the back of the head to activate your alpha brain waves, which will relax you. Repeat for 3 minutes.
Knees in – Take a moment to feel your body. Lay down and feel the vibration of your heart. Hug your knees into your chest and find someone or something in your life you are grateful for. Hold 5-10 breaths. Set an intention for your practice.
Shoulder Stand – Bring the hands to the hips and lift the feet to the sky. Pull your elbows in and engage the core. If you can’t lift into shoulder stand, simply lift the feet to the sky. Avoid moving the head side to side. Breath 5 breaths, long and deep. Come out slowly and notice your transition, is it slow and purposeful?
Cat/Cow – Cross the legs and come to a table top position. Take 5-10 breaths, rooting your fingers to the floor, clawing the floor like a cat. Open the heart and look up on the inhale and tuck the chin to the chest on the exhale.
Downward Facing Dog – Curl the toes under, lift the hips to the sky and let the chest melt to the earth. Pedal the legs or move the hips however it feels good for your body. Take 5 lion’s breaths, inhale through the nose and open the mouth, empty the lungs. Breathe in, breathe out.
Crescent Lunge – Bring one leg through in between the hands and reach to the sky. Back foot stays on the ball of the foot. Keep reaching to the sky and the thighs pulling together. Stand strong, this is the pose of truth. Open your heart to all the possibilities of life. 5-10 breaths.
Standing Split – Exhale and reach the hands on either side of the front foot, lift the opposite foot to the sky. Point your toes and let your neck relax. Hold for 5 breaths.
Half-lift – Drop the top foot to meet the grounded foot. Pull your shoulder blades back, place the hands on the shins and look forward on your inhale. 1 breath.
Forward Fold – Exhale, bend the knees and melt over the thighs. 5 breaths. Repeat cat/cow, downward facing dog, crescent lunge, standing split and half-lift bringing the opposite foot forward on the crescent lunge and standing split. Repeat Sequence 2-5x or as long as you have to focus on your inner warrior goddess!
Anjali Mudra – Take a moment at the end of practice to lock everything in. Sit with your hands in anjali mudra or prayer position. Come back to your intention and then sit in silence, tuning into your body and your breath. 5-10 minutes.
Breathe deeply and love freely!
